  • CQ IOM Championships 2006
  • March 27, 2006
The 2006 Central Queensland Championships was our first major event held in the beautiful Gladstone Marina and 35 skippers came to the Port City to contest. From as far south as Northern NSW and north to Mackay, quality skippers who had recently competed in the World Championships turned up and competition lifted a level. Dave Turton from Kawana won the event with Allan Walker second and Greg Torpy third while local skipper Grant Cooper was the best placed member finishing 7th. Everyone who competed said it was one of the best run championships on and off the water.
