2007 01 Australian IOM Championships

  • All categories
  • Category 1
The 2007 Australian Championships were held at Pine Rivers, north of Brisbane and the GRCYC took advantage of this close location to send Jeff Paul, David Laurie, Rod Molkentin, Liz Datsun and Grant Cooper down to race against 60 other competitors. Not only was it a HUGE learning experience, sailing in 5 fleets on the water, but a lot of fun was has off the water with some genuinely funny stories that will be told years later. There were some real highlights on the water too with Rod Molkentin being the first GRCYC member to win a race in a national titles (1st out of 65), Grant Cooper's finishing the last 6 races inside the top 10 and the sportsmanship and competitiveness of all the GRCYC sailors. For results sheet - CLICK HERE
